Criminal Defense Attorney - Brett Hiser, Esq.

Brett Hiser graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Criminology in 2002. In May of 2005, Mr. Hiser received his Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas. While enrolled, he began representing citizens accused of crimes through the Criminal Defense Clinic program. While many of his fellow students were sitting in a classroom hearing lectures about the law, Brett was in the Dallas Criminal Courthouse gaining valuable firsthand experience.

Mr. Hiser returned to Florida and began his career working as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in the Tampa / St. Petersburg area. While serving as a prosecutor, he gained a tremendous amount of experience investigating and prosecuting all types of criminal cases. He has prosecuted numerous state offenses, such as drug possessions, assaults and batteries, family violence, D.W.I. and D.U.I., thefts and stolen property cases.

Anxious to return to the Dallas area, Mr. Hiser sat for and passed the February 2007 Texas Bar Examination. Mr. Hiser became an associate of the Mathur Law Offices in July of 2007. He believes every client deserves quality, aggressive representation to obtain the most favorable outcome possible.
